They sought liberation from the routine of modern American life, drawing from Mike's Peace Corps background and TJ's passion for business.

A year later, the pandemic and civil unrest in Minneapolis took a toll on TJ's mental health. Tragically, he took his own life in the summer of 2021. This profound loss transformed Outfit My Life into a mission to break the silence surrounding mental health in America. TJ's sister Emilee took over the brand, continuing his legacy.
